Introducing the Soul Dogs Project: Heartfelt Pet Photography in Solano County
Hi, I’m Nat — a lifelong dog lover, professional photographer, and the heart behind Soul Dogs Project. Based in Solano County, California, I specialize in soulful pet portraits that go beyond the “sit and smile” routine. This isn’t just pet photography. It’s storytelling. It’s healing. It’s a tribute to the dogs who’ve rescued us right back.
After more than a decade photographing weddings and portraits, I hit burnout hard. I was starting over, and searching for a new purpose, when my rescue dogs, Miko and Charlie, quite literally knocked me over during a wild play session. In that moment, it hit me: these dogs are my purpose. And so, Soul Dogs Project was born.
What Is SOul DOgs PrOject?
The Soul Dogs Project is a heartfelt photography experience focused on:
Rescue dog portraits – Honoring the journeys of adopted pets
Legacy sessions – Celebrating the bond with senior and terminally ill dogs
On-location dog photography – Serving the beautiful parks, trails, and homes of Vacaville, Fairfield, Dixon, and the greater Solano County area
Every session is custom, relaxed, and full of love. My goal is to capture your dog’s true spirit — the goofy grins, soulful eyes, and everything in between.
